Home / Patient Journey
Your journey with us starts with a dedicated treatment coordinator.
Your journey with us begins with a dedicated Treatment Coordinator.
Background
Our clinic is designed to provide a calm, comfortable environment, with a focus on safe, high-quality endodontic (root canal) care.
Before your appointment with our lead clinician, you’ll be welcomed by our team and guided through each step. We understand that patients attending for root canal treatment may be in pain or anxious, and we’ll do everything we can to help you feel at ease.
Every patient’s situation is different. Your clinician will discuss your symptoms, your dental and medical history, and any concerns you have about the tooth. Our priority is to relieve discomfort, treat infection where present, and help you keep your natural tooth whenever possible.
Diagnosis
A key part of the consultation is understanding your recent symptoms (for example: sensitivity, pain on biting, swelling, or a previous filling or crown). We’ll also ask about any previous dental experiences so we can tailor your care and explain things clearly.
During your assessment we may take digital x-rays and carry out clinical tests to confirm the diagnosis. In some cases, a 3D scan (CBCT) may be recommended to assess root anatomy, identify hidden canals, or evaluate infection around the root.
Using these findings, we’ll explain the diagnosis in plain terms and outline the most appropriate options. If root canal treatment is recommended, we’ll discuss what the procedure involves, how many visits may be needed, expected outcomes, and any risks or limitations. We’ll also explain the next steps after treatment, such as a final restoration (often a crown) to protect the tooth.
Conclusions
After your consultation, a written summary and treatment plan can be emailed to you on request. This will include your diagnosis, recommended treatment options, and estimated fees. Any fees for written reports will be discussed during your appointment.
By the time you leave, you should feel informed about your diagnosis, clear on the proposed plan, and supported by the team. Your Treatment Coordinator will be available to help with appointments, aftercare guidance, and any questions you may have before or after treatment.
